90.3% of teens in the U.K. Have a mobile phone. That was a big reason why they decided to do the test in England since of the popularity of mobile phones there. When they put a ban on phones at the schools they saw a raise of 6% in test scores. Which was a big leap from the year before. They also chose the U.K. Because only 70% of teens in the U.S have phones

Phones are a big distraction not only to students but to teachers. After banning phones in schools, test scores went up an average of 6.4%. Phones distract you from learning valuable information which could make your grade go down because of not learning that specific lesson.

We get one warning then if it happens again it goes to the office, if it happens another time it goes to the office and you parent has to pick it up and lastly if it happens once more it gets taken and there will be consequences. Teachers take our phones so that we can focus on what they are teaching us. Most students do better in class when they don't have their phones.

Using you a cellphone in petoskey math classes are extremely prohibited. If you get caught using your phone during class you first get a warning to but it away in your backpack then if you get caught again you have to take it to the office and get it back at the end of the day. The third time you get caught you have to take it to the office and your parnet has to come in and get it.

The phone policy is used to not interfere with other students leaning. Not using your phone can help grades and test scores go up. After schools banned phones in some England cities, test scores of 16 year olds went up by 6.4%. The first time we get caught with a phone out, you get a warning. The second time you have to bring it to the office, and the third time it has to go to the office and a parent has to pick it up.

The use of cellphones is prohibited to minimize distractions in the classroom. Studies show that students will be more successful in school without the distraction of their cellphone. If a student has their cellphone out without their teachers permission they will be sent to the office with their device.

We get warnings the first time we are caught with our phones and the other times you get caught it goes to the office and or your parents have to come get it. It is scientifically shown and proven that students do better on homework and test when they don't have their phones. I personally think that we should only have our phones if it is an emergency not to have out in class as a distraction.

Phones are strictly prohibited in PHS math classes without permission from the teacher. The first time you are caught you get a warning the second time you have to turn it into the office the third time you take it to the office and your parents have to come get it and the fourth time sent to the office progressive discipline. If you don’t use a phone it increases student performance aged 16 increased by 6.4% of a standard deviation.

For the cell phone policy you only have one warning before you get it taken away and sent to the office. You can only use your phone when told to by your teacher and if your using it for a project or assignment. We use the cell phone policy because if we all used our phones in school we would never learn to do any of the stuff we’re taught in school.

We use it because phones are a big distraction for everyone in school, teachers and students alike. Without phones in school GPAS would go up and the everyday focus of the students would go up. We have a fair policy of consequences for use of phones.

Cell phone use in class is bad because most kids have trouble focusing on the assessment. Cell phone use is also bad because it interferes with the knowledge because kids don’t pay attention. Kids without phones or don’t go on them have better test scores and focus more.

The third time you take it to the office and you parents have to come ang get it from the office. Phones in class effect people by dropping there gpas and it distracts students in class.

We use this policy to get better results in our education. 6.4 percent of your grade could be impacted by this policy. Also 98 percent don’t allow cellphone use by 2012.

It states that phones shall not be used during class unless approved by the teacher. If caught using phone during class without permission, you will face a first warning. The second time you will be sent to the office. After the third it will be the same as the second punishment only a parent will have to pick it up. If you get caught a 4th time you will receive consequences such as detention or maybe even suspension if you continue to break the no device rule. It has been put in the student handbook as well that all phones should be kept in locker or put away during class. We have this rule because we are in school to learn a phone have become distractions to students.

The phone policy is there for the kids to read like for instance you can use you phone with permission. Also I feel that most students do not read the phone policy. But I think the warnings and actions put in place are fair.

The cell phone policy is there for us to not use our phones during class unless we ask for permission. In 2012 phones were banned in a few schools/classes. 6.5% of students raise their grades on test scores and they end up staying in school for an extra five days.

Without phones in the classroom test sores are increased by 6.4%. With the PHS phone policy students are given a warning, after that the students phone is taken to the office. After that more and more severe punishments may occur.

When having your phone in class your phone in class and getting caught you will get a curable warning the first time. Studies have shown that the less you’re on your phone the better your GPA will get. You can only be on your phone in class if you have been given permission by the teacher.

Phones are a huge distraction even in a classroom. They were banned in most schools and test scores increased in the time of banning phones. We are given a warning when we get caught with our phones. PHS has less rules than most schools.

alright Harris, so the UK banned phones because they are a distraction. Because it wastes most students precious learning time and I don't know about you, but I NEED my learning time because I don't want to fail classes or work at Mcdonalds for the rest of my life.

Using your cell phone in classes is prohibited unless told differently by the teacher. But getting caught with your phone could result multiple punishments (depending on how many times you've been caught doing so). The UK banned cell phone use in almost all its schools, resulting in better test scores. (I think, I didn't really understand the artical)
