The second thing I learned is that Mr. Harris is a fan of Detroit sports along with Michigan football and basketball. Another thing I learned was that Mr. Harris went to the University of Michigan. My third thing that I learned from this website is that he loves to read. One thing that I found interesting was that he uses quotes in the classroom. One thing I have learned from this website is that no one has the right to interfere with the learning or safety or of others. A second thing I have learned is that we are here to learn how to communicate using mathematical language. With the mathematic language we can effectively accomplish multi-step problems. I found interesting that you can lose more then one day's worth of points in one class period. Also that we were allowed to use our phones in class today, to do an assessment. one question that I still have is how much time do we have to complete homework in class and on tests do we have to show every step even if we know the answer without writing it out?

I learnt about a few very useful resources to use when I need to study, a portion of the upcoming lessons in our class, and some useful contact information. I'm intrested in Mr. Harris' reading preferences, and his instructor Dr. Michael Dekker. One question I have for Mr. Harris is, are you coaching baseball as of now?

I Learned that you were a coach, which I think is cool. I got reminded of The Pythagrian threom, and that is cool too. The hypotenuse of a triangle is perpendicular to the right angle. What are your kids names?

It's an universal language that is extremely important. I found interesting that Mr. Harris likes avocado toast and eats it regularly for breakfast and that he really like ice cream. What are the main things you think everybody should know about math?

The last thing I learned was that you like the Tigers (I do too), which is awesome but also not because they are awful this year. Something I found interesting is that you have a blog for students to look at. Another thing I find intresting is that you are a Michigan fan... On the website, I learned a few things. I’m not talking about how you shared your shoe size, but more of how open you are to people. A second thing is that you not only allow people to share what they’ve worked on, but also some of their artistic work. Last but not least, your favorite book genres, how they can be both novel for older people (not calling you old) and kid-like books. Things I found interesting is the quotes you have, how they are humorous because I’m normally use to realistic quotes. And don’t forget how you added Dr. Michael Dekker’s website to yours as well, I think that’s nice. I do have one question though, why do teenagers always walk in a group of 3 or 5? And then to end this comment, a quote: “To make others happy, you have to be happy yourself.”

~Learned~
1) The 1st thing I learned on this website is that Mr. Harris has been a coach and teacher for over 9 years now! 2) Mr. Harris actually cares about us and how we develop as people in general. 3) He also really, REALLY, enjoys sports, some of which are as follows; Baseball, Football,Basketball,Hockey, etc...

~Interesting~
1) I found it interesting that Mr. Harris reads so much, and out of all these books, 2 of them stood out to me: 'MOBY DICK' and 'The Old Man and the Sea'. Both books I have yet to read, but they do seem extremely interesting! 2) I also found it interesting how he has posted so much of his previous students works. To me, it kind of makes me feel like he was proud of them... Kinda like a parent when their child make something and the parent put that creation up on the fridge... You know what I mean? It kinda makes me happy. I have a feeling that we're all in for a great school year with him as our Algebra teacher!

~Question(s)~
Hey Mr. Harris? What's your favorite type of ice cream? Or do you even have a favorite flavor?

On this website I learned that no electronics are allowed in Mr. Harris room because they can be a distraction. I also learned that math can help us with our personal finances as we get older. The last thing I learned was that Mr. Harris was married on my birthday. I found it interesting that there are actually social media platforms for math class. I also found it interesting that Mr. Harris has links for videos to help you out if you didn’t understand a lesson or if you missed class. The only thing I have a question about now is how heavy is the homework load?

While reading this website I found that in this math class it is very important not to have your phone in class. As it can affect others around you and affect you. I also learned that in math you learn how to resolve problems and how that can help you in the future. I found it very interesting how he put his earlier students work on his website, to help us in the future. I also saw the videos that he linked and it was neat how he did that to help us. When we have homework will there be an online version of the textbook or questions?

As of today, I learned some neat things from this marvelous website. I discovered that Mr. Harris indulges in ice cream, but who doesn't? I also found out that Mr. Harris has 2 adorable huskies (which are my favorite breed of dog). Lastly, I saw that Mr. Harris is a stickler on the "no phones" policy, so I shall follow those rule unless told so otherwise. What i found intriguing was that he puts up students assignments on his website, which is pretty cool. And he also put up a picture about "feeding the right wolf," which really caught my eye. Now as I end this, I do have a question for you... If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

Things I found interesting:

I also learned that schools are currently preparing students for jobs that don't yet exist. i found it interesting that 1 in 4 workers have been with their current employer for less then a year. I indeed found that the numbers of internet devices in 1982 was 167 but by 1992 it increased to 1,000,000 internet devices. to me that's crazy. here's my question for you. By reading your website, it has become clear to me that the responsibility of educating students is met with your devoted efforts. You dedicate your time by providing further learning opportunities with your YouTube channel, links, and recommended apps. Along with this I have learned that openness is key to you. By sharing information about yourself, you are giving us the chance to build a connection based around possible similarities. For a student, having a teacher who does not feel distant and behind closed doors may uplift the mood of the class. The final thing I have absorbed from your website is that the rules are rules to protect the well being of students. You don’t permit phones in your room to give us the best learning experience, and you enforce a rule that bans interference associated with safety and learning. It proves you hope for the best for your students. I find it interesting how you show pictures of other student’s work. These pictures are also sharing your pride in their achievements. Another unique aspect of your website is the listing of quotes you say. I think it’ll make algebra one more fun! My question for you is this: When you hear a good quote, do you instantly think, “That’ll be something I’ll say!”

I also learned that I acually feel comfortable going to your website unlike other teachers website, yours is very organized, simple and easy to know where to go on the website for help. And I also like the art on the website. It’s a good addition.
I found the last video with all the facts interesting, as well as the classroom art on the wall. It really made the whole class look amazing.

The no phone rule states that is you're found using your phone without a teacher's permission, you'll face a first warning. The second time you use a phone without permission, you'll be sent to the office with your phone. The third time, you will be faced with the same punishment as the second, only a parent will have to pick it up. The fourth time, you'll be sent to the office with what ever punishment is needed to keep you off your phone. Studies have found that when phones are completely prohibited in other schools, test scores got miraculously better.
