1. Basically just a bunch of different equations to find out something. It seems to usually be an assortment of equations, not just the same ones over and over again.
2. Solving just any problem where you have to use a variety of equations to solvesomething, usually with different steps to the problem.

1. It's when you have two or more equations with the same set of unknowns. They can be linear or non linear. You are trying to find the values of all the unknowns. You must satisfy all the unknowns in the equations.
2. You can use this if you ever needed to figure out how many screws you can fit in a bin. You can measure the screws and the bin. You can also use this to figure out how many cupcakes you can fit in a box. This would be very helpful when baking. This would be good for big occasions.

1.) A system of equations is a problem with two or more equations with a same set of unknowns. In solving a system of equations, you must try the find values for each of the unknowns. They must satisfy every equation in the system. The equations in the system can be linear or non-linear.
2.) A real world problem would be like when you run a concession stand and you want to know how many sodas and how many slices of pizzas I sold that night. For example the pizza it $1.50 and the soda is .50¢ and you made $80.25 how many of each did you sell? Another example would be to find out a mistake on a order to a fast food restaurant. Like let's say McDonald's. So you order a 10 piece chicken nugget and a medium fry and it's like $10.45 but your friend ordered a 10 peice chicken nugget and a large fry and it was only $8.35, so you would have to find the mistake and tell the staff.

system of equations is a group of 2 or more equations. that also have the same set of stuff that is unknown. where we find values of the both unknown. that satisfies both equations by solving them.
two real world applications: if two people are working together and both want something. they work together until both are good with what they have. if not, they work together to solve what they need. or when people are trading materials they need to have an equal transaction most likely. so they need to find how much they need and what will be if equal value to the other persons needs.

Systems of equations is a group of 2 or more equations with the same set of unknowns.Where we find the values of both of the unknown values. And that satisfys the equations because you solved them.
In the real world we would use systems of equations to see how many erasers you can fit in a bin by measuring the bin that the erasers will go in. Then you measure one eraser and see how many of them it will take to fill up the bin. That is a way that you could use systems of equations in the real world.

2. Systems of equations can be very useful. For example you could use system of equations to find out how many $3 dollar muffins and how many $2.50 dollar cupcakes you could buy with $13.60 if you want at least one of each. You could also use it with styrofoam and red solo cups to see when the height of the cups would be equal. There are many other real world examples of system of equations. Systems of equations can be used to find many different things.

1 both have the same stuff but y oh do not know what they are. so you have to put the numbers into equations then put the equations equal to each other to find that answer

So, how I understand the systems of equations is that, well it's more than one equation to start. Both of these equations have to be equal, I believe. I may not be right, but I think that they should both be even. For example: 2x + 1 and -2x + 5 would be a system.

A real life example would be the speed of a my old and young cat, they would both have different equations.

System of equations means a set of 2 or more set equations that have variables in common. The only way to make this true is for both equations to have points in common. When you’re graphing you can express the area they have in common by shading that area. These equations also have to be linear. One real world example of these is if you’re selling hotdogs and one hotdog costs $1.50. Pop costs $0.50 and at the end of the night you’ve made $78.50. You sold 87 hotdogs and pops combined. How many hot dogs and pops were sold? You’re answer will end up being (35, 52). Another example is you and your friend go to a donut shop. Your bill ends up being $11.25 for 3 donuts and 3 cookies. Your friends bill is $10.00 for 2 donuts and 2 cookies. So how much are donuts? You’re answer will end up being a donut costs $2.50 each.

While trying to solve a system of equations we try to find values for each of the unknowns that will satisfy every system of equations. The equations in the system can be linear or nonlinear. I believe this is right. A real world example someone bought 2 pounds of cheese and 6 pounds of dough and spent $19 to make a pizza after making the pizza it looked so good they decided to make more. They bought 1 more pound of dough and 5more pounds of cheese and spent $15. The equation for this would be 2c+6d=19 and d+5c=15. We can use this to figure out how much they spent on cheese and dough.

Overall, a system of equations is two or more equations working together. To solve one, we need to try to find values for each of the unknowns that will match/satisfy every equation in the system.
2. a.) I work selling bag chips and drinks. Each bag of chips cost $1.50 and each drink costs $2.00. At the end of my work shift I made $98.00. I sold 97 bags of chips and drinks combined. My boss needs me to report to her the number of chips and drinks sold that shift. How many chips and drinks were sold?
b.) You and your friend go to a clothing store. You bought three basic shirts and three jean shorts. Your bill is $60.00. Your friend's bill is $30.00 for two shirts and two jean shorts. How much does one short cost? How much does one shirt cost?

1) Collection of equations that you deal with all at once. There are three methods for solving systems of equations. They are graphing, substitution method, and elimination method. An example of this find the value of 2 numbers if their sum is 12 and their difference is 4. What are the numbers? The numbers are 4 and 8.

2) one of my examples is , you and your friend are going to Roast and Toast for lunch. You order 3 sandwiches and 3 coffee's your bill is $11.25. Your friend's bill was $10.00, for 4 sandwiches and 2 coffee's. How much do the sandwiches cost and hoe much do the coffee's cost? The equations I used were 3x+3y=11.25 and 4x+2y=10.00. In the end the sandwiches cost $1.25 and the coffee's cost $2.50.
Another example is, you are running a lemonade stand. You are selling lemonade and cookies. Each lemonade costs 1.50 and each cookie costs .50 cents. At the end of the day you made $78.50. You sold 87 cookies and lemonade combined. You must know the exact amount of each sold. How many of each were sold? The two equations were 1.50x+.50y=78.50 (related to cost) and x+y=87 (related to number sold). At the end you find that you sold 35 lemonades and 52 cookies.

2) A: a girl has to chose from two different phone company’s. One company’s plan cost $20 a month plus calls costing 25 cents every minute used for a call. The second company costs $40 a month plus 8 cents every minute used for a call. Which company should she chose?
B: Someone empties there wallet that contains only nickels and dimes. If she has a total of 7 coins and they have a combined value of 45 cents, how many of each coin do they have?

1~ A system of equations is basically just a system of linear equations. A system of linear equations is a collection of linear equations that involve the same set of variables. That is basically systems of equations. at least in my mind it is. sorry if this is incorrect.

2~ You can calculate the best routes for your running or cycling schedule by creating a mathematical expression that takes into account the distance and your average speed for various parts of the route. You can use the equations to set different goals, such as to maximize time for build endurance, or to maximize speed for performance. The same formula used to calculate running times can be used to determine speed, distances and time duration when traveling by car, plane or train and you want to know the values for the unknown variables in your travel situations. You can use this same process with a system of equations when trying to decide on the best cell phone plan, determining at how many minutes both companies charge the same amount and deciding from there which is the best plan for you and your intended usage. An air traffic controller can use simultaneous equations to ensure two airplanes don’t intersect at the same time.

2)One real world example would be to find out how many of each you sold. Say you're working a movie theator snack stand, Pop is $1.50 and Popcorn is $2.00. If you made $75.50 by the end of the night, how many did you sell of each. Another real world example would be find out how much each thing costs. Say you go to Jimmy John's for lunch to eat with a friend. If you order two sandwiches and a pop and the bill is $10.50, but your friend orders a sandwich and two pops and their bill is $7.50, how much was each item.

You can also find the velocity of the plane going with the wind. The other equation would be the plane against the wind. Another system of equations could be that a chemist is mixing solutions together. You could find the percent of a certain substance that goes in the solution. Also a certain percent in ounces.

In these, you must create variables that have the same coefficient, to "eliminate". 2) Two examples of systems of equations, in real life, would be.... a) Piper volunteered to make pizza for a party. She bought 2 pounds of cheese, and 6 pounds of dough. She overall spent $19. Then she realized there wasn't enough pizza, so she went back to the store to buy more. 1. Systems of Equations is the combination of two equations with unknowns in them. In a linear system of equation, you find a point at which the two linear lines will join. You can find Systems of Equations by either graphing or by substitution. Using graphing,it can be solved by finding the "x" and "y" axis points when you combine the two equations and solve. Then you can subtract the equation that you solved to find an "x" axis point or "y" axis point, depending on which point you found first.

2. You can run 13 mph, your dog can run 25 mph but it takes you 3 minutes to tie your shoes and put him on a leash. How long will it take your dog to catch you?

Real life examples would be in a baseball season you hit 29 homeruns. The season is split into four quarters. How many homeruns did the person hit in each quarter. Another example would be a basketball team scored 112 points in a whole game. The game is split into 4 quarters. How many points did the team score each quarter.

System of equations is when there two or more equations working together. It is a collection of two or more equations with the same set of unknowns. Linear equations are simpler than nonlinear equations. The simplest is one with two equations and two variables.

One real world example is with the cups today. We had to find out when the solo and styrofoam cups would be equal by using systems of equations. Another real world example is, say I wanted to make pizza. I would by 2 pounds of cheese and 6 pounds of dough for $19. I liked it so much I wanted more so I went and bought 1 more pound of dough and 5 more pounds of cheese for $15. Now we can find out how much I spent on everything!

1. Definition:
Systems of equations are at least two linear equations associating. They also share a common variable. They can be solved with substitution, subtraction, and graphing. In a system of equations, there can be more than two equations.

2. Examples:
Suppose we want to find the number of minutes it takes for two different phone companies to charge the same price. One of the companies charges $5 as a monthly fee, and $1.50 for every minute. The other company charges $15 as a monthly fee, and $0.50 every minute. The intersection for this example is at 10 minutes, when each company would charge $20.
Another example would be a human consistently running 0.2 km every minute, and a horse consistently running 0.5 km every minute. Just when the human starts to run, it take 6 minutes for someone to saddle the horse. After ten minutes, the horse catches up to you after you have both ran 2 km.

Another real world example is a farmhouse has 11 animals. Some are pigs and some are cows. Altogether they have 32 legs, how many of each animal are there?

There are 3 ways to solve systems of equations. You can solve it by graphing, substitution method, and elimination method. A real world example of system of equations is if you are working at a local ice cream shop. You are selling cones for $2 and cups for $2.50. You made $477.50 and sold 213 total ice creams. How many cones were sold and how many cups were sold? The answer will be 110 cones and 103 cups. Another example is if your class is going on a field trip. There are 2 bus companies to choose between. Company A is a $30 flat fee with $.30 m for each mile and Company B is $40 with $.25 m. Which will cost less?

2. A real world example of this might be a bake sale consisting of 40 baked goods total, 20 of each. You sold cookies for $0.75 and brownies for $1.25. The total amound of money you made was $68.25. To find how many brownies and cookies you sold, you’d use systems of equations. This problem would be represented as 0.75x + 1.5y = 69.25. If you sold all of the baked goods, then it would be written as x + y = 40. This could then be solved to find out which of the two items were more popular.

A system of equations is a system that describes a problem. What we used was a one number we know is too big. One number we know is too small. And one number that we think is accurate. These numbers can give us an outline for what the problem we are trying to solve. In the real world we could use this for building a house. If you don’t know how much brick you need you can use a system of equations to get a better idea. You can also use this while planning your work. If you need to get a certain thing done by a certain date you can plan it using a system of equations.

1) Systematic equations is a system to make two or more linear equations. The equations are made up of a problem. Out of the problem you have a number that is too big, too small and that is near the rights number. These number can give us a idea of what the most likely number is going to be. In the real world we can use this at the iPhone store, if I wnated to get five iPhones and an iPhone is 500 dollars and it’s 20% off how much would it cost? 4,000 would be too much,400 would be too low and it would be around 2,000 dollars. Then another problem would be building a house I want to build 4 houses and a house cost about 90,000 dollars if I want two houses. 10,000 would be too less, 500,000 would be too high and 180,000 would be around the right price.

System of equations are a limited set of equations or an equation system. You can graph them to find the solution. Or you can plug in the coordinates into the equation. This way you can check the solution.

A real world example is the cups. We had to find out at what point would the styrofoam cups reach the solo cups. We had to use two diffrent equations to figure this out. Another example is a cell phone plan. Two cell phone plans pay diffrent amounts of money per month. So you could use a graph to represent that.

it’s a pair of two or more connected linear equations involving the same set of veriables. you can graph to find it or plug in the coordinates. they use this in business related jobs to compare things like chraphs amd our charts. another example is the cups. we had to plug in different number to find the answer.
