An isosceles triangle is a triangle with two congruent sides. It is scalene if none of the aides are congruent. An equilateral triangle is a triangle that has all congruent sides. You can also measure a triangle by angles if that’s easier.

Q: is there any clever way to remember that scalene means all different sides and isosceles is two congruent sides?

an equilateral is when all sides of an angle are the same, an isosceles is when two sides on an angle are the same, and a scalene is when there is no sides equal on a angle

on the work sheet i dont get the first part.

If their r no sides equal to each other then it is scaling. If all the sides r equal to each other than it is equal lateral. if 2 of the sides r equal to each other then it is isolise. I have no question.

A right angle is an angle whose measure is equal to 90°. An obtuse angle is identifiable by being more than 90° and less than 180° in measure. An acute angle can be classified as such when proven to be less than 90° in measure. A straight angle, also classified as a line segment, is always equal to 180°.

There. I have summarized angles.

I have no questions.

An angle equals 180°. Isosceles have two equal sides, scalene has no equal sides and of corse an equilateral is all side are equal. They use an amount of tic-marks to tell you if they equal if they have the same amount or not. I have no questions on this.

Sides- with the sides you just count up all the angles (sides).
Measure- the measure is for the equilateral, isosceles or scalene equal is when all sides are equal isosceles is when 2 sides are equal and scalene is when no sides are equal and my question is I’m not really sure what to put for the question so I put this

How to find a scalene angle you look at the angle and see if it has any sides that are equal if there’s not than it’s a scalene triangle. If the whole angle is equal it is a equilateral triangle If two sides are equal it’s a isosceles triangle. To figure out if it’s a acute angle you look to see if it’s less than 90 if it’s 90 degrees it’s a right angle but if it’s more it’s a obtuse angle.

Angles are measured by the size. They can have the same sides or even none that are the same. Angles can be 90 degrees, 150 degrees, 40 degrees and more. There are all kinds of ways you can measure an angle.

I feel like I don't have any questions on this but if I do I will ask for help.

Equilateral—All the same sides
Isosceles—2 of the same sides
Scalene—All side are different
I had a question but I can’t remember what it is I will ask you when I remember. I had another question about how to remember all of the angles

Equilateral all the sides of the triangle are equal to each other and isosceles only 2 sides of the triangle and they are the sides congruent to each other and scalene non of the sides are equal they are all different

Triangle are shapes with 3 sides. All those side need to equal 180 degrees in order for it to be considered a triangle. An equil lateral triangle has all those angles in the triangle the same. Scalene no sides are congruent isosolice two of the sides are the same.

you can classify triangles by measuring the angles then seing if any are the same if 2 are the same its isosolese if 3 are it equalateral and if there are none that are the same thats scalene
Q: why do they have the names that they have?

There are 3 angles, there is a isosceles angle which has 2 congrouent sides. A equal lateral angle has all congruent sides. A scalene angle has no congruent sides

If it’s an obstuse triangle it will look like something greater than 90 degrees. If it is an acute triangle it will look like something that’s less than 90 degrees. If it is a right triangle it will look like a triangle with 90 degrees. If it is equilateral all sides will be the same length.

When figuring out how to classify triangles you must look at all sides, and angles. If two angles are the same then it is isosceles. If all angles are different then it is scalene. If all angles are the same it would be equilateral. If it has a right angle it’s a right triangle. If it has a obtuse angle it’s obtuse, same for a cute.

If it has no equal sides it is a scalene if two isosceles if all equal equilateral. If less than 90 acute great r than 180 or exactly 180 obtuse or right. I have summarized this. No questions.

For triangles when classifying if it's all 3 sides the same it's equalateral if only 2 sides are the same then it's isosolese and if no sides are the same then it's scalene my one question is what are all the triangles that you can't do like right obtuse

If 2 angles are the same then it’s is isosceles. If all a angles are different then it is scalene. If all angles are the same it is equilateral. If it is a right angle it is a right triangle.
No questions.

Isosceles tranigle= two congruent sides.
Scalene tranigle= none of the sides are congruent.
Equalaterial tranigle= all the sides are congruent. You can also measure the sides by looking at it.

If the triangle has three matching sides then it is equilateral. If it has two matching sides then it is Isosceles and if all sides are different then it would be scalene.

Isosceles triangles have 2 sides that are congruent. Scalene triangles have no congruent sides. Equilateral triangles have sides that are all congruent. To know if a triangle is acute it will have acute angles for the sides. Obtuse triangles have an obtuse angle within them. And right triangles have a right angle in them.

An equalater triangle has all of the same sides, it will either have the same number of lines through the legs or 3 of the same degrees. An isosceles has 2 of the same angles, two legs have lines through them or 2 degrees are the same. A scalene has 0 of the same angles, 0 of the same degrees

I dont have any questions!

There are three basic types of triangles. Equilateral, which means all sides are equal. Isosceles, which means two sides are equal. And scalene, which means no sides are the same. Equilateral triangles have equal angles. Isosceles triangles have two equal angles. And scalene have no equal angles.

Isosceles is a triangle with two equal sides

Acute is less than 90 degrees and more than 0 degrees

Obtuse is always more than 90 degrees

Scalene is exactly 90 degrees

With a angle you just have to look at the measurements and if it’s all less than 90 it’s an acute so just look at the measurements and with sides if 2 are equal it’s an isosceles, and if they are all uneven it’s a scalene and we all know if they are all the same it’s an equilateral

If there is a triangle that has no equal sides it is called a scalene Triangle. If theres a triangle that has ALL equal sides it is called an equilateral Triangle. If theres a triangle with two equal sides then its called isosceles. So the measurement of the sides determine what they are called.

How do you find the difference between an acute angle name and the obtuse angle

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with two angles that are congruent. Only two angles are the same on the triangle the third angle is different that the others. An equilateral triangle is a triangle where all the angles are the same size. None of the angles are different.

An isosceles tranigle as 2 angles that are congruent. The other angle is not congruent. An equilateral triangle is when ALL the sides or angles are the same. A scalene tranigle is when none of the sides are the same there all different degree.
